Every legal invoice, checked the same way.
Defense cost is half of the claim-cost story. Isomer™ Actions checks every defense invoice against what counsel actually filed, approves the routine ones, routes the rest with the reason, and explains every call.

A carrier
Invoice review by scrolling.
Before approving an invoice, a reviewer had to confirm that every document it billed for was actually uploaded, by tabbing through hundreds of unsearchable documents per matter. With that much to check by hand, two reviewers could reasonably reach different conclusions on the same invoice.
68.5%
of billing reductions came from documents never uploaded.
Four steps, every invoice.
Step 1
Pull the invoice
Isomer opens each new invoice in the e-billing system, through the browser where there’s no API.
Step 2
List what it implies
Every document named, like “drafted Answer to Complaint”, or implied, like “reviewed prior correspondence”. Internal work product is left out.
Step 3
Match and verify
The whole matter is searched before anything is called missing, allowing for firm naming, misspellings, and upload lag.
Step 4
Adjust or route
Unsupported fee lines are adjusted with a comment. Small invoices are approved; appeals go to a named approver, never decided by Isomer.
Rules were refined over several iterations with the carrier’s in-house legal and claims attorneys. Every call is explained, which helps when a reduction is appealed.

The cheapest defense is the suit that isn’t filed.
At a large commercial carrier, 7 in 10 critical or high flags Isomer Signals raised at first notice came before any suit was filed: representation, preservation demands, and time-limited demands, caught while there’s still time to resolve the claim.
Put the same rules on every bill.
